Hello,
I have two Windows Server 2008 R2 DHCP servers in a SplitScope configuration. One of these is my WDS server. If the PXE client pulls its IP from that server (DC01), WDS runs fine on the client. If the client pulls its IP from the 2nd server (DC02), I get the "Windows failed to start." error screen of Windows Boot Manager. On DC02, I have DHCP Options 66 (IP of DC01) and 67 (boot\X64\wdsnbp.com) configured. What am I missing? The documentation really doesn't cover having a SplitScope configuration. I have DHCP split for resiliency. Sean Rector, MCSE 2010-2011 subscriptions are on sale now! Featuring: Rigoletto | Cos?
