Yes - the proper command is 'quit' - what you got means you got a
connection to the web site.

Actually, typing almost anything and pressing enter at that point
should get you something this:


     HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
     Content-Type: text/html
      Date: Fri, 20 Aug 2010 19:13:19 GMT
     Connection: close
     Content-Length: 35

     <h1>Bad Request (Invalid Verb)</h1>

     Connection to host lost.
