SIS came with all versions of windows since 2000 but you had to install RIS to get it.. just sayin

I am attending a meeting for our Community College which is being hosted by NetApp and they are bragging about dedup and all the benefits in data reduction. I don’t think we can afford their system, but if I could get a reasonable reduction by using something we already have, I’d use it. Also, anyone have a recommendation for a free or very low cost utl that would scan a drive and report on duplicate files. I know I can google for a util and will, but would also appreciate any “words of wisdom from you folk”. Thanks.
