The problems we have with Paetec is that they don't apply our payments to the proper accounts and we make separate payments. So many times they have applied both payments to one account and they are apparently unable to stop themselves because the finance dept have been trying to work with them and it just keeps happening. We end up getting a disconnect notice and that's how we find out. One time the disconnect notice didn't get to me and they shut off our main office and it took a few hours for it to be turned on again. We couldn't even get them to acknowledge their mistake and had to pay to have the service restored and work out the details later. Totally unacceptable. The finance director wants them gone and now I do also. We were with CT Communications based out of Concord, NC, and were tickled pink with their service until Windstream bought them out and thoroughly fouled up customer service. It took us a year to get all 11 sites converted because Windstream's CSRs were so horribly fouled up. We had numbers from three or four different facilities on one CSR, so we had to wait weeks for the port out tickets to close out so we could put in a new LNP order for the next site. It has been....ummm.....fun. What kind of billing problems does your accounting team have with PaeTec? Our accounting team is MUCH happier with PaeTec than we were with Windstream. In general, telecom providers are a bear to deal with on billing. I've had the pleasure of working with probably a dozen or more different telecom companies over the last decade, and the most common complaint I've seen has been with billing/invoicing.
