There is One True Keyboard, and it is the IBM Model M. All other
keyboards are but pale shadows of the Model M. All glory to the Model
M!

I'm currently using a Customizer 104 from Unicomp
(http://www.pckeyboard.com/). They bought the rights to "buckling
spring" technology that makes the Model M famous, and the feel is
about the same. I find it's not *quite* as durable, though. It's not
as heavy -- while this could still inflict some blunt force trauma,
it's not quite solid enough to be used as a murder weapon. And after
a couple of years of me pounding on it like an angry gorilla in a
Samsonite commercial, I find it's occasionally injecting two spaces
instead of one when I press the space bar. I bought it because my
current work PC doesn't have PS/2, and this has a native USB cord. If
it gets much worse, I'm going to trash it, and use a Model M with a
PS/2 adapter.

I still have a Model M at home. It's got to be at least 15 years
old, and still works like the day it was unboxed.
