  SOHO router running DD-WRT.

  (Those $50, 5-port routers are actually a lightly-managed switch
(VLANs); the "Internet" port is just a different VLAN internally.
Speed within the switch is usually fair to good.  Wireless speed and
reliability is usually fair to bad.  Performance across the firewall
is good enough for most connections.  Features vary, but you get a lot
for $50 and free firmware.  Would I run a business on this?  Depends
on the business.  I'd sooner use one of these than one with stock
firmware.  I'd put a small office, e.g., handful of users on one, if
they didn't need anything special.  Would I run a 100 person company
on one?  No.)
