If you're going to join the server to active directory, don't disable NetBIOS until after you've done the join. If memory serves, it STILL uses NetBIOS in part of the joining procedure. Or does that bypass the registration process. My thought is that the client still registers with the WINS server, it just stops using NetBIOS over TCP/IP, but a colleague disagrees with me on this.
