When I run the cleanup wizard, I never select the option to remove computers
that haven't reported in 30+ days because some of those computers are still out
there. For instance, laptops that my users have on the road or at home may only
be on my network a few times per year, so they'll easily go more than 30 days
without reporting in. And yes, that also means those machines aren't getting
updates (still looking for a solution to that).

Anyhow, the moral of the story is that just because a computer hasn't reported
in in 30+ days doesn't mean it has been removed from AD, so I don't want the
wizard deleting it.

Sort of. It will continue to appear until you delete it, or until you run the
server cleanup wizard in WSUS and it's been more than 30 days since the
computer checked in.

Am I seeing this correctly?

If I delete a computer account in ADUC, the computer will continue to appear in
WSUS, and has to be manually deleted from WSUS as well?
