I have seven cats. I get my litter trays cunningly disguised from this
website

Yeah... I got two litter boxes, but they sometimes throw up on the carpet.
Litter box doesn't help that. :-)

Hey John,
I have a cat too, named it Bunny.  Yours foul up your carpet?  I have a
litter box for mine.  Works well.

Yeah...not sure how old this thing is... but it's been sitting around
unplugged for awhile before I grabbed it and decided to give it a shot. :-)
I guess the thing is to see if I can find another UPS and test the batteries
from it in this thing.... problem being I don't think I have another of this
model. *shrug*

Interesting.  I've got two APC's at home that won't do boo if the battery is
dead.  Sure they start to complain as they die, but left alone and unplugged
for a long time, as I suspect this one was, they simply don't power up.

But my APC's are admittedly very old, and things change.  :)

Not necessarily.
IME, UPS's with bad batteries will turn on, just notify you that the battery
is bad.  If it doesn't turn on at all,a nd it's not the circuit breaker as
Bob Hartung indicated, then it is dead, and changing the battery likely
won't do anything.

Ok... so you guys think the battery is just dead. That's kind of what I was
thinking. Thanks.

April Fool's!

Oh....wait...

It's dead Jim.  (John)

The battery can be replaced however; usually at a fraction of the cost of
the UPS.

I've got a SMARTUPS 1400 that I've had plugged up for awhile trying to see
if I can use it. It was just sitting around in one of the offices, not being
used, so I thought I'd see what I could do with it. As I said, it's been
plugged up for awhile, but it won't even power on. Any ideas what might be
the problem? The disconnect plug in back is plugged in so that's not the
problem.
Any ideas? I don't get any lights or beeps or anything.

Thanks!
