Factoid #1 -- After-the-fact security is far more costly than baking it in
from the beginning...

Factoid #2 -- Once you've been hacked, especially for a sophisticated attack
on a complex network, it takes a loooong time to tell if you're free and
clear of the bad guys, and if you'll locked up all the doors and windows.

Factoid #3 -- (Hopefully for Sony only) Software and hardware procurement
takes longer than you think... :)
