Ok guys I need some real help. I have ghosted for years since 99
actually. I am just not getting this sysprep for Windows 7.

I want to use the imagex / sysprep / unattended xml method. I have
actually done it on a USB drive but the I need a default profile that
sticks so I don't have to re install as the domain admin? I really need
help guys I feel like a newb all over again. I think it is the meds I
am on making my memory fail but honestly I don't care. I would just
like an example of how to and a brief discussion on why then I should be
good to go...

I will be rolling this out from my department 15 at a time to branch
locations and department but don't have the manpower or bandwidth to use
the big SCCM type tools.

Thanks

David

Oh and I am currently still on a Windows 2003 domain.

The XML for that key is the ProductKey for KMS. I am removing the whole
XML key and see if the will Sysprep properly. I'll get it ... sooner
than later.

Have you visually examined the XML file in WISM?

Have you looked at the errorlog file?

Ok Explode=

Windows could not parse or process the unattend answer file for pass
[specialize]. The settings specified in the answer file cannot be
applied. The error was detected while processing settings for component
[Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup]. OK

You said "Then on the mini setup I explode" - how do you "explode"?

By "how did you modify the default unattend" I mean "which options did
you change and what did you change them to"?

How have you modified the default unattend?

<childish moment>

And just because you brought it up: ID-10-T!

I am frustrated looking on google for a good walk through on an
unattended windows 7 sysprep xml.

I built my image I created my ufd's I imagex 'd my image after sysprep
with unattend and it creates a good sized wim file.

Then on the mini setup I explode. If I do it without the unattend
everything works I just have more questions to answer.

Any help after the flames and I am retarded comments would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
