Aren't you preaching to the choir a bit?
The tweet is stupid, but what else do you expect from a stream of
consciousness utterance?  Your point, while entirely valid, misses the
point.  It is up to us, meaning we need to do more to create secure
systems.  In this case, Citi didn't even come close to doing that.  To blame
LulzSec or the individual who "broke" their system, or has been arrested and
will probably be scapegoated is misplacing responsibility.   There is plenty
of blame to go around here, and if I had to divide the responsibility for
the attack proportionally I would do 90% at Citi and 10% at Lulzsec.  Now,
if Citi were operating a secure system, I would adjust accordingly, but
let's not kid ourselves about what Citi did or didn't do in this specific
instance.
