I remain a user of this project, although I'm too stupid to contribute
anything useful... I'm using Etch on a 1400, and X11 with Openbox,
Sylpheed and Dillo is entirely useable fo light email/web browsing (mine's
a 64MB, 166MHz model).

I have some problems, too - there are nticeable 'lines' continuing beyond
the corners of windows across the desktop. Is this standard for the
hardware/drivers, or is it an indicator of misconfiguration and/or damaged
hardware? Also, the (unstable) 2.6 kernel doesn't boot - I'm sure I saw a
mention of it working on a 1400 at some point, could someone explain how
to get it working?

Thanks,

Francis
