I think this is probably worth a support ticket, both to figure out why the 
'tt' attribute isn’t altered for converted nodes, and also to determine the 
best way of getting the curve type (if there are other ways in Python, which 
I’m not convinced of).

No thoughts on this? 

I've been using _rotopaint.Shape.getAttribute('tt') to determine the type of a 
curve.In 7.0 these values seemed to changed, but I can still reliably get the 
curve type.However, if a script comes in from 6 the 'tt' attribute stays stuck 
(at least BSplines (5) ).Bug or should I not be using this attribute?Is there a 
better way to determine curve type?
