Errata: I mis-spoke that Fusion added an option to interpret RoD as
Format. It's only when you are an OFX as it's not defined in the specs
right now. Native effects are handled similarly as Nuke NDK. Was only
looking at our plugins :)

You would think an image processing API has a way to get an image out a
different size than image in :(
If there is a Foundry engineer interested, we are having an API meeting
online next week and this is one topic, and Foundry is a member of the
organisation. I can be contacted for details. Would be nice if it was
super easy to add to Nuke.
