hey guys, thanx for your help. I hadnt have the time to code something but i guess hugos post is going in the direction of travel. The "problem" I have is that we work in large scripts with many nodes that grab masks from mask layers and we always have to manually choose the layer dropdown to see what is masked in this node. i wrote a script that works with a VIEWER_INPUT shuffle shuffeling the mask from a selected into rgba, but i would like to keep this node for other purposes...
and because we often need to change scripts we initially didnt set up I would like to go the coding way, because it would take to much time setting up anything manually... thank you for your help again, cheers jaden
