Hi,

I have been trying to get the nuke.filename value from all source nodes (Reads
and any other nodes that have a ‘file’ knob) with the correctly applied
preferences.platformPathRemaps value. For Reads, it works automatically and I
get exactly what I need! However, for other node classes - ReadGeo, for example
- it does not work. Does nuke.filename only work for Read nodes? If so, what’s
the best way to get the platformPathRemaps value substitution to work for other
classes of source nodes…? I had been working out my own way of parsing the path
remaps and applying them, but then a coworker pointed me to nuke.filename. I
thought my problem was solved, but then I discovered it doesn’t seem to work
for any other nodes except Reads… I’m looking to use the built-in mechanism
that Nuke is using to do the OS path remaps without having to reinvent it!

Thanks for any help,
Rich
