How do I use the shuffle copy node to replace a layer (channel set) without
removing all the rest of the data from the pipe?

I'm trying to replace a bad shadowpass from a multilayered EXR with a good one.
I've used shuffle copy to take the shadow layer from the good sequence and
output it to the sequence with the rest of the good layers.

However, now everything down the chain has NO data for any other layers - only
the shadow layer remains. Does the shuffle copy node automatically destroy all
other layer sets? Is there a better way to do this?
