Incase anyone else is looking at this with the same issues or wondering what happened... The foundry sent me a new license for the new MAC address - or the Wifi one, that the laptop now seems to be showing, this doesn't seem to have caused any problems.
Nuke didn't work however once the license issue was solved, which is weird as it seems to have on most other folks who have upgraded to Mountain Lion, it asked me to install X11, and worked fine after that. Very odd. Cheers, Rory.
