Has anyone done 2-D image encoding for NuPIC yet?
I'm working on an encoder that will take a 2-D image and turn it into
and SDR. If someone's already made a stab at it then I'd like to crib &
compare. My coding target #1 is an very-simple encoder that can take an
image of any size and turn it into an SDR for a region of any size. I
know of some fairly trivial ways to do this that *don't* result in
visually similar objects having overlapping encodings. It appears the
tricky bit (coding target #2) is to make the similar-overlapping-thing
happen without an unreasonable amount of computation within the encoder.
