Thanks for taking a hand on this Fergal :)
Having some sort of Forum with Hangouts, Seminars etc. would be great. But
instead of reinventing the wheel, a google+ group for the NuPIC community would
be a possibility. There we can then proceed organising the Meetup and so on. If
this is acceptable to you, I will be happy to help get this going.

PS: Good job it's am Main ;D

Hi all,

I'm just outside Europe (Casablanca, Morocco) but also visit the UK every so
often so would be interested in attending should there be an overlap in time
and location.

Regards,
Robert

HI Fergal,

I typically spend a month or so in the UK each year (I have a lot of reward
points on Virgin Atlantic), and would be interested in attending if there is
enough notice. You can’t count on my being there unfortunately.

Regards,
Dave

Hi All,

This discussion was prompted by Pascal Weinberger in an earlier thread. Having
attended three great hackathons in the Bay Area, I know what can happen when
chance meetings happen in the same room, and I'd like to organise some kind of
physical get-together this side of the pond.

If you're based in Europe, please let us know where you are, where you'd be
prepared to travel to, and if you'd like to help us plan and execute a meetup
over here.

So far, we have:

Fergal Byrne in Dublin.
Giuseppe Torre nearby in Limerick, Ireland.
Richard Crowder in London.
Pascal Weinberger in Frankfurt (am Main, I presume).
Marek Otahal in Prague.
Alexander Kettinen in Stockholm.
Francisco Webber and cortical.io in Vienna.

Things have really changed in the last few years, so my suggestion is to have
as our ambition something like the virtual Java User Group [1], which combines
physical meetups where possible and lots of live online webinars and hangouts.
I've contacted the founder and will see how far I can get on this track.

Please pipe in with your info and suggestions.

Regards,

Fergal Byrne
