Hello NuPIC, I have a few more details to share about the upcoming Challenge. This is not an official announcement (that will come in about a month), but you can plan on these dates and locations...
Challenge will start on Oct 16 and run for one month. We will hold an on-site event on Nov 13-14 to wrap up the challenge. Friday Nov 13th: Community event at Numenta offices in Redwood City, CA (to be planned...) Saturday Nov 14th: Challenge Demos, Judging, and Prizes at San Mateo County History Museum [1] (across the street from Numenta Offices in Redwood City, CA) Challenge participants will have reserved spots at the on-site event, but anyone planning on attending just to watch must sign up for a Meetup (registration will open on Sept 16, see [2] for details). If you want to participate in the Challenge, but cannot make the on-site meetings, that is okay. You can still submit a project for judging and pitch your demo in a self-recorded video. All demos will be recorded at the on-site and made available after the event for remote viewing.
