I was just curious to know if there were any plans to release a maintenence/bug-fix release before 1.0. I know there have been a slew of patches and such (it's almost impossible to keep up, unless someone has a suggestion on how to keep track of these, I may be missing something), and was wondering when/if these would be applied to the trunk and labeled as say 0.9.1.
At this moment we don't plan to make 0.9.1 - this is related to the fact that there have been a few serious changes which would cause compatibility problems with 0.9.0. If we released the current trunk as 0.9.1 we would cause many problems among users, who would naturally expect that minor releases are compatible.
It could be perhaps possible to separate non-intrusive changes / bug fixes and port them to 0.9.0 branch - however, at this point in time I don't see enough serious interest (that is, supported by developer resources ;) ) to be able to do this.
