I'm sorry to say but I have a other point of view.
Anyway we don't need to start this _time wasting_ discussion again.
At least i found it interesting to hear that Byron _still_ try to sell nutch as its own work.
Interesting that he is not able to provide any contribution as well he can't send answers to question that are required to answer his "rhetorical" questions.
Dawid, again the discussion is not about the software licensing its about using "Mr. nutch" (and this is still intellectual property by the nutch organization, since it is not gpl or cc ) and try to confuse people with a steeled look & feel and provide disinformation the media.
Anyways, we should concentrate on hacking for nutch then discussion about toys.

Open source is not always about fame and glory. Sometimes it's just about having fun from working on something special. Nutch is special (just as many other open source projects are) whether somebody steals its name, or not. Leave the rest to the lawyers, if you really want to go that way.

P.S. I think Byron does just the opposite of what you said: he does a great job of spreading the word about Nutch.

Nutch community must take action and stop this growing spam or nutch will become part of it.
