Dear Respectful Developers:

I setup a nutch in my local server, but found the
search results were changing all the time. Then I
visited the nutch in Cornell and found it's running in
the same way.

For example: I input "culture" in
http://kodiak.cs.cornell.edu:8080/en/search.html , and
got this result:
-------------------------
Hits 1-10 (out of 845 total matching documents):

Culture & Empire 1898
... American history and culture, including
photographs, documents, sound recordings ... theory,
women's studies, popular culture, and performing arts
...
http://www.library.cornell.edu/olinuris/ref/hist107.html (cached) (explain) (anchors)

RMC: European History and Culture
... European History and Culture European History and
Culture ... European history and culture. The core of
...
http://rmc.library.cornell.edu/collections/subjects/eurohist.html (cached) (explain)
(anchors)
--------------------------------------

Then I click the "Search" button to query "culture"
again, then got this result:
------------------------------------
Hits 1-10 (out of 845 total matching documents):

RMC: European History and Culture
... European History and Culture European History and
Culture ... European history and culture. The core of
...
http://rmc.library.cornell.edu/collections/subjects/eurohist.html (cached) (explain)
(anchors)

Culture & Empire 1898

photographs, documents, sound recordings ... theory,
women's studies, popular culture, and performing arts
...
http://www.library.cornell.edu/olinuris/ref/hist107.html (cached) (explain) (anchors)
--------------------------------------

Can you see it? The result of the second query is *NOT*
exactly the same as the first query. Did it again, I
got the third result:
-----------------------------------
Hits 1-10 (out of 845 total matching documents):

Culture & Empire 1898
... edu/olinuris/ref/hist107.html Culture & Empire,
1898 "Colonel Theodore ... American history and

recordings ...

---------------------------------------

Look, I got the same 2 links in these 3 queries, but
the order and the sammaries are different. My concern
is: Since the database is the same one, the QueryString
is the same, what makes difference? Ramdom number?

Ben.
