Hi Doug.

I am writing to you, because we want to use nutch in a bigger project
that puts a strong emphasis on a customized search engine. I had a look
at the available documentations and as far as I can see nutch is the
best match to our requirements:

- Index some Mio Pages each week (scalable)
- configurable rating algorithm
- configurable fields for indexing (spacial reference of indexed data)
- JAVA based
- royalty free license for our customer, who needs to be able to make
more installations on a non commercial base.

At the moment we are in the offering stage. We are constrained to supply reference stories about the search engine technology we want to use. Our customer would be a high class reference for nutch in Germany.

1.) Can you supply us with (recent) success stories about nutch? Do you
know of any successfull usage of nutch? (others than I can find on the
website)

2.) Can you point me to a developer, we could hire. Since we have quite
some changed to be done to nutch. (if the projects goes with us... ;-))

Best Regards,

Joachim Mller
