Isabel, Thank you for considering the question. Unfortunately, there's no comprehensive, current, published article on Nutch that I know of.
Your best bet is probably an article in the April 2004 issue of ACM Queue magazine: "Building Nutch: Open Source Search" by Mike Cafarella and Doug Cutting. It's a very imperfect article, with out of date info and a lack of algorithmic details. But until something better comes along, I'd cite it.
