If you think of contributing patch to Nutch to be included in sources some day, 
you should probably do it against head.

If you want to apply some patch on your sources, and build a modified Nutch, 
the safest is to take the version, which was base for the patch. But, very 
often you may apply a patch to other versions if patched files didn't change 
much.
