I have run nutch (v0.9) on windows, linux, and solaris.
On windows and linux, it was just a local, one-node setup.
On solaris, we got a four-node setup running well.

Does nutch and hadoop run well (stable, not too much hacking)
on a cluster of windows boxes?

The reasons for this question are as follows:

I believe I recall reading on this list or somewhere on the
various websites that some have had difficulty running many
nodes on windows boxes.

We are setting up some nutch installations for which setting
up windows servers seems to be the easier solution, since the
users and powers that be seem to think that is the best way to
go.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
