Thank you to everyone. I changed the the Tomcat version to 6.0.16, as suggested, and everything worked. Of course, in my older computer I should have an earlier version of Tomcat. I think that the Nutch code should be modified to take this issue into account, as some of latest nightly versions have the same error message.
