I've just noticed that if NWAM detects a change in network status
(interface goes offline or online) that it pops up dialog windows
notifying the user of what's going on. That's fine. What I find odd is
that these dialogs 'block' NWAM from effecting whatever changes need to
be made.

Case in point. I pulled the cable on my network interface and then
re-attached it. NWAM popped up a dialog and said that it had taken the
interface down. I left the dialog on screen. Networking however was
dead. As soon as I clicked ok on the dialog, another dialog popped up
saying NWAM had brought the interface up (which it could have done as
soon as I had put the cable back in). Only after clicking ok on that
dialog was my network interface 'truly' up and functioning. This
doesn't seem like proper behaviour to me. If I'm not physically at my
machine and the interface goes down (but then comes back up immediately
or close to immediately) my machine is dead until I can click on these
dialogs regardless. Couldn't the dialogs be merely informational and
not block NWAM's actions underneath? In the instance of it bringing an
interface up it seems especially ridiculous that I have to click ok on
that dialog before the interface really is brought up.

This was using build 99 of 2008.11. Is this something that's fixed in
Picea or phase 1?

Thanks!

Glenn
