NOTICE OF RACE Frosh/Soph JV Invitational
Bellingham, WA November 5-6th 2011 1. HOST The event will be hosted by the Western Washington University Sailing Team 2. DATES Saturday the 5th through Sunday the 6th of November 2011 3. RULES The regatta will be governed by the ICSA Procedural Rules (Fall 2009 – Spring 2012), the 2009-2012 Racing Rules of sailing, the prescriptions of US sailing, the Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race. 4. FORMAT AND ELIGIBILITY All NWICSA Regular or Provisional Member Schools in good standing are eligible to sail. This being a JV event only first and second year sailors are asked to participate. If a sailor has participated as a member of a Varsity team they are asked to switch positions (skipper switch to crew and vice versa). 5. BOATS This regatta will be sailed in FJs. Some charters may be available on a limited first come first serve basis. 6. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Saturday, November 5, 2011 0900 Report Time 1000 Competitor’s Meeting 1100 First Warning Sunday, November 6, 2011 0930 Report Time 1000 First Warning 1500 No Starting Signal After 7. VENUE The event will be held at WWU Lakewood 2410 Lake Whatcom Blvd Bellingham, WA 98223 8. DOCUMENTATION Complete, signed RP forms will be required for scoring purposes. 9. HOUSING Housing will be available through the WWU sailing team. 10.
