Hey Sailors, I just took the Level II class this December in San Diego and have to say it was one of the best courses I've ever taken. John Vandemoer (Stanford) and Betsy Allison (US Para-Olympic Coach) ran the course and did a stellar job. It's much more in depth than the Level I, and I learned a ton of new coaching techniques and tips. Even after several years of coaching, I took away a lot from the course and felt it was well worth my time. If there is a course held in the PNW it'd be the first time in at least 5 years (I'm guessing probably more???). Usually getting the cert requires traveling to California or further, so this is a great opportunity that anyone with ambitions to coach a race team or advanced sailors should jump on. A lot of top tier programs really like their coaches to have the Level II cert, and it's a prerequisite for most director and head coaching jobs.
