Hi,

Some of us with Fly The Coop[1] hats on, have been thinking about running some
hackdays and stuff inside the space we rent at MadLab and getting some
collaboration stuff going.

Ian Moss and myself have been discussing doing something for Rails Rumble, and
it seems Adam from OTB is aware of 2 teams of 4 who want to get involved:

http://railsrumble.com/

Note registration is closed, so it's waiting list only now. However, if you
want to build a webapp in a weekend with others, but not submit it into the
comp, we don't mind you joining in...

We're trying to work out if we can provide a "hub" in the Northern Quarter in
the Mad Lab building, based around the FTC office and maybe another floor.
We're trying to work out whether we can open it up for the full 48 hours, or it
might just be for 9am-10pm or something similar. We might need to even find a
different venue if MadLab is booked out.

The idea is, you turn up with some ideas and your team mates (some of us might
form teams the night before by sharing some ideas at a pre-party?), and by
Sunday night, you have a finished product ready to be judged.

It will be pretty intense, but great fun.

So, who is interested, and do you want the space for the full period, or just a
part of it?
