I have that exact SMC card that you're talking about. I bought it just a
couple of weeks ago. The 22Mbps speed is what grabbed me. I bought it along
with a 22Mbps SMC gateway router so that I'd get the faster speed on my
little internal network.

Card works fine for me for personal use in my apt. (i.e. accessing the Net
from my laptop in bed), but then again I don't run a big powerful public
access point like most of the list members here do.

I haven't taken it out in public yet either (i.e., surfing from Bowling Green,
or Bryant, or Tomkins Parks). Will give that a whirl one day.

Keep in mind also that most routers and AP's don't support 22Mbps yet. So if
you're taking it out in public, you'll probably be only getting a max of
11Mbps anyway.

So anyway, my opinion would be: fine for my limited use so far, but I really
haven't put it through the wringer yet.

DR
