Having gotten a Soekris and started to consider which Distro to put on it, I started thinking, you can get a Pentium latop for well under $100, and it should have lots of useful features.
Has anyone done this? In particular, I have a Jetbook 486 with a bad video card, and a Thinkpad 760ED with a bad internal display, both of which could probably be used as AP's, even if only as testbeds for tty-based distros.
