Although GSM/GPRS is gaining   momentum in the US, CDMA2000 is still more
widely deployed for the moment. Lucent has demonstrated a solution (not sure
if there is a field installation yet) that allows roaming between a CDMA2000
1xEV-DO (Enhanced Voice-Data Only)  network and a 802.11 network.
