Re: San Francisco to announce citywide wifi plans at 2 I'm going to the city meeting regarding their request for information that was announced.
The trend out here is for cities/communities to put a request for information on an outlandish concept in order to see the advancements that are being made; I doubt the city will even consider funding the entire concept though. >From what I've read, the city not only wants wifi hotspots, but wants 95% of all outdoor areas, and 90% of all indoor areas to be covered. That's going to be alot of wasted signal. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. The meeting is Wed, aug 31 in the am.
