This morning I went shorebirding on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay.  The
highlights were 4 White-rumped sandpipers and 6 Stilt sandpipers which
were foraging at the North End.  Nothing else of note besides the American
Oystercatcher family on the island at the north end of the East Pond.  An
Osprey was also feeding at the southern end.  Both Northern and Lousiana
Waterthrushes were around the pond's margins.
