An all day vigil at Sunken Meadow State Park that began around 8:45 a.m.
paid off late this afternoon.

Thanks to alert birders from Ithaca - Both the Pink-footed and Barnacle
Geese were observed around 3:05 p.m. as they flew into the back of the creek
amongst the phragmites.

A group that included Chris Woods, Tom Johnson, Jessie Barry, Carolyn
Sedgwick and I, were able to locate both birds in the creek at various
intervals . Later we were joined by Claude Bloch, who was able to get on
the Pink Footed.

Good and responsible birding!
