Today I went to Jamaica Wild Life (Queens, L.I.) and saw several Grebes in the bay south of the Terapin Trail. Several were Horned Grebes but also I saw a grebe with a longer thinner bill and more peaked crown. It was quite different from the Horned Grebes which I am familiar with out Eastern Long Island, I wonder if someone might check and verify what I believe are Eared Grebes. Thanks! Andy Murphy
