Jones Beach West End 12 Apr A quiet day with only breeders visible and singing. Opposite the Coast Guard Station entrance, there was a Merlin perched in a dead tree. Then, as I left West End #2 via the east exit, I surprised 3 Eastern Meadowlarks on the side of the road. They flew off into the brush toward the Nature Center.
