Highlights of reports received April 15 through April 22 from the Niagara Frontier Region include dark-morph BROAD-
 WINGED HAWK, YELLOW-THR. WARBLER, LA. WATERTHRUSH and WHITE-
 EYED VIREO.

April 21 was an exceptional day at the Hamburg Hawkwatch. A total of 1629 raptors included one, very rare, dark-morph BROAD-WINGED HAWK among 1316 typical BROAD-WINGED HAWKS, plus 191 TURKEY VULTURE, 59 SHARP-SH. HAWKS, 10 OSPREY and 2 each of BALD EAGLE and RED-SHOULDERED HAWK. Colder weather and changing winds will slow the hawk flights in coming days. The hawkwatch is located in Lakeside Memorial Park on Camp Road in the Town of Hamburg. Visitors are always welcome.

A flight of 100 hawks over the Town of Colden on the 21st included 20 BROAD-WINGED HAWKS, plus 5 COMMON RAVENS.

From the Town of Niagara, a rare YELLOW-THR. WARBLER on April 21, on Plaza Drive near Cayuga Drive Extension. The warbler was observed for 20 minutes before it continued its migration.

At Tifft Nature Preserve in Buffalo, a LA. WATERTHRUSH on April 15 at the first bridge. April 16 to 18, an early WHITE-EYED VIREO at Lisa Pond. Also at Tifft this week - 2 SANDHILL CRANES over Lisa Pond, TUNDRA SWAN, PEREGRINE FALCON, over 30 RUBY-CR. KINGLETS, YELLOW-R. WARBLER, PINE WARBLER, AMER. TREE SPARROW, FOX SPARROW, WHITE-THR. SPARROW and WHITE-CR. SPARROW.

April 20 at Lewiston Reservoir State Park, a mix of diving and marsh ducks - GADWALL, 6 NORTHERN SHOVELERS, SCAUP SPECIES, 3 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, 15 BUFFLEHEADS and 100 RED-
 BR. MERGANSER. Also 2 HORNED GREBES.

This week in the fields at Somerset-Hartland Townline and Johnson Creek Road, 13 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and 7 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, plus AMERICAN WIGEON, NORTHERN PINTAIL, GREEN-
 WINGED TEAL and 1 TUNDRA SWAN.

Other recent reports - Abundant BONAPARTE'S GULLS and CASPIAN TERNS with 20 COMMON TERNS at the Wilson Pier on Lake Ontario. 2 CHIMNEY SWIFTS over Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. And on Grand Island, a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD on Baseline Road.
