I tried for the previously-reported White-winged Dove this afternoon at Jones
Beach, running into Ed Coyle and Pat Jones there. None of us found the bird
though we were around for a couple of hours.

We did have, however, four Gull-billed Terns on the spit and flying around.

Also, just because I have not seen it reported yet, an Orange-crowned Warbler
spent sizable portions of the day at the Forest Park waterhole both yesterday
(when I was not there) and today (when I was). Also seen at the waterhole
either yesterday or today (or both) were Blackburnian, Blackpoll, B-t Blue, B-t
Green, N. Waterthrush, Common Yellowthroat, Nashville, Redstart, Yellow-rumped,
Black-and-white, Parula, Worm-eating, Hooded, and Ovenbird. There might have
been others that I did not personally see.

Good birding,
Corey Finger
