Yesterday, between 3:45 & 5:30 PM (during low tide) the flats held few birds. I was hoping for both species of godwits, which have been reported in record #'s recently, and which I haven't been able to chase until today...and the hunt continues! The only bird of note was the Black Tern (just starting to molt out of alternate plummage) that was hunting over the w/most marsh before the inlet, as I was leaving.
