Thanks to the generosity of many birders including Ken and Sue Feustel, Doug Futuyma and Gerta Fritz who stayed with the bird until I arrived. I was able to get on the Adult Franklin Gull found this afternoon by Pat Lindsay at Captree State Park. When I left Captree State Park around 5:25 p.m. the bird was still there being observed by one birder who arrived as I was leaving.
Later, over at Robert Moses State Park Field 5, I did manage to get on 1 juvenile Lesser Black-backed Gull. A few photos of the Franklin's Gull are posted on my blog. Good and responsible birding!
