The Common Ground-Dove was still present past 4:00 pm, along the northern edge of the eastern-most parking lot at Captree SP, Suffolk Co., LI.
On at least four occasions, the bird flew out of sight into the vegetation to the north, but it always reappeared in its favorite swath of grass, near the northwest corner of the lot.
