Hey NY Birders,

I thought I should pass along info about two species that have been recently
recorded on the North Fork of Long Island (Suffolk Co). I did not see either
of these, but I have seen photos of both.

1. Today in Laurel, a male WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL at a feeder.

2. For the last two weeks there have been 2 CATTLE EGRETS in Peconic. From
Rt 25 go south on Indian Neck Road until it bends sharply left (to the
east). Look for the birds in the field immediately on the left.
