An American Golden Plover was present during the high tide period today in the 
big Point Lookout parking lot (the one directly across from the end of the Loop 
Parkway). It was with 4 Black-bellied and 3 Semipalmated Plovers. A curious 
aspect of this bird is that the bill is pale from the base to a little more 
than half way out (more so on the upper mandible). I don't see this described 
anywhere.
