This morning Vinnie Pellegrino found a Hermit Warbler, probably a young
female(?) at Sunken Meadow State Park.
Originally he found it along the northwestern edge of the bushes north of the
closed parking lot (this is west as you drive over the bridge).
When we arrived around 11 AM or so it had moved further east, feeding very
cooperatively on the lawn and in the low bushes, a bit west of the main parking
lot and traffic circle, still on the northern edge of the field.
It was still there at 12:30 when I left

Sunken Meadow State Park is the northern terminus of the Sagtikos / Sunken
Meadow State Parkway on the north shore of Long Island
